Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Benjamin's Emblem by Walton Ford for USD 11,970.00 (€ 10,842.39). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walton Ford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bitter Gulfs in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,059,384.16).
