Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Composition with monkey in celebration of Rolling Stones' jubilee by Walton Ford for DKK 6,000.00 (€ 804.89). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walton Ford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bitter Gulfs in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,059,384.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Composition with monkey in celebration of Rolling Stones' jubilee von Walton Ford für DKK 6.000,00 (€ 804,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walton Ford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bitter Gulfs im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.059.384,16).
