In the American Art auction, the work The American Desert sold for USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,124.60) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Ufer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Gateway in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 962,082.26).
