Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Young Pinons, Santa Clara Canyon by Walter Ufer was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,380.00 (€ 15,264.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Ufer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gateway in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,497,000.00 (€ 962,082.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Young Pinons, Santa Clara Canyon von Walter Ufer kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.380,00 (€ 15.264,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Ufer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gateway im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.497.000,00 (€ 962.082,26).
