The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,710.00 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Leblanc achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twisted Strings in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 213,786.70).

Die Arbeit Gouache - Relief Sable von Walter Leblanc wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Köln versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.710,00 und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Leblanc erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twisted Strings im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 213.786,70).
