In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Archétypes, Schéma 162, 1981-1986 numbered A1 (on the underside) by Walter Leblanc. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,412.30), 62% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Leblanc achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twisted Strings in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 213,786.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 62 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Archétypes, Schéma 162, 1981-1986 numbered A1 (on the underside) von Walter Leblanc zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.412,30) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Leblanc erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twisted Strings im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 213.786,70).
