Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Red Barn by Walter Launt Palmer was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2014. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,024.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Launt Palmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Forest in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 147,179.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Red Barn von Walter Launt Palmer kam im April 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.024,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Launt Palmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter Forest im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 147.179,07).
