Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,750.00 (€ 10,671.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Launt Palmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Forest in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 147,179.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Moonrise Over a Snowy Landscape von Walter Launt Palmer wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.750,00 (€ 10.671,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Launt Palmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter Forest im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 147.179,07).
