The work Sailing on the Laguna Veneta by Walter Launt Palmer was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 19,062.50 (€ 15,954.55), 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Walter Launt Palmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Forest in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 147,179.07).

Die Arbeit Sailing on the Laguna Veneta von Walter Launt Palmer wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 19.062,50 (€ 15.954,55) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Launt Palmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter Forest im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 147.179,07).
