The work Winter Forest by Walter Launt Palmer was sold in the American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 175,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 198,000.00 (€ 147,179.07). With this result, Winter Forest is even the most expensive work of art by Walter Launt Palmer that we have observed at auctions so far.
