The »bidding war« ended at USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,020.69), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Launt Palmer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Forest, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 198,000.00 (€ 147,179.07).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.020,69) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Launt Palmer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter Forest beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 198.000,00 (€ 147.179,07) versteigert wurde.
