Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work On The Coeymans Road by Walter Launt Palmer. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,442.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Launt Palmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Forest in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 147,179.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit On The Coeymans Road von Walter Launt Palmer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.442,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Launt Palmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winter Forest im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 147.179,07).
