Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (Still Life) by Walter Langhammer was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,620.74). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Langhammer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Still Life), which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,714.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life) von Walter Langhammer im Juni 2019 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.620,74) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Langhammer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life) beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.714,42) versteigert wurde.
