Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Still Life with a Rosewater Sprinkler & Vase) by Walter Langhammer. The price achieved of GBP 5,120.00 (€ 5,932.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Langhammer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Still Life), which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,714.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life with a Rosewater Sprinkler & Vase) von Walter Langhammer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.120,00 (€ 5.932,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Langhammer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life) beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.714,42) versteigert wurde.
