Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Walter Langhammer could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Still Life with Fruit) changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,480.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Langhammer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Still Life), which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,714.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Langhammer konnte im September 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life with Fruit) für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.480,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Langhammer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life) beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.714,42) versteigert wurde.
