Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Still Life) by Walter Langhammer. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,819.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Langhammer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Still Life), which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,714.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life) von Walter Langhammer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.819,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Langhammer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life) beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.714,42) versteigert wurde.
