In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES, which included the work A day's fishing; and Returning home by Walter Heath Williams. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,465.00 (€ 6,220.87), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Heath Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Glas Lyn, which sold at auction in October 2004 for USD 19,120.00 (€ 15,000.78).

Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A day's fishing; and Returning home von Walter Heath Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 6.220,87) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Heath Williams mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On the Glas Lyn beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für USD 19.120,00 (€ 15.000,78) versteigert wurde.
