Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,048.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Elmer Schofield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nearing Spring in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 181,000.00 (€ 116,323.91).

Die Arbeit Land'S End, Cornwall von Walter Elmer Schofield kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.048,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00.
