Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Walter Darby Bannard could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work April Breakout changed hands for USD 1,000.00 (€ 771.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Darby Bannard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alby's Burgundy in December 2017 with an auction result of USD 31,250.00 (€ 25,994.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Darby Bannard konnte im Oktober 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit April Breakout für USD 1.000,00 (€ 771,72) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Darby Bannard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alby's Burgundy im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 25.994,01).
