Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Missing Lebanese Wars by Walid Raad was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2012. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,764.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walid Raad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scratching On Things I Could Disavow (Parts 2-5) in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,390.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Missing Lebanese Wars von Walid Raad wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.764,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walid Raad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scratching On Things I Could Disavow (Parts 2-5) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.390,97).
