This work of art by Walead Beshty could be acquired at Christies in London in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work La Belicosidad (August 28th - September 10th, 2013: Cerámica Suro, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico) changed hands for GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,908.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walead Beshty achieve.
