Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Walead Beshty could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographies auction, the work Color Loop, 2008 changed hands for EUR 13,860.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walead Beshty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fedex® Kraft Box© 2005 FEDEX 330504 REV 10/05 SSCC, Standard Overnight, Los Angeles-Beverly Hills, trk# 8726 7182 8553, date February 13-14 2012; Standard Overnight, San Francisco-Beverly Hills, trk# 8759 1171 4523, date January 29-30 2013; Interna in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 79,951.77).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Walead Beshty konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographies wechselte die Arbeit Color Loop, 2008 für EUR 13.860,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
