It achieved a price of USD 82,550.00 (€ 77,995.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Vojtěch Kovařík have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aphrodite in May this year with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 354,796.32).

Die Arbeit Snake Wizard von Vojtěch Kovařík kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 82.550,00 (€ 77.995,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vojtěch Kovařík auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aphrodite im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 354.796,32).
