This artwork by Vivan Sundaram achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November last year. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Composition) sold for GBP 9,180.00 (€ 10,637.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vivan Sundaram - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Passage, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 51,000.00 (€ 42,013.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Vivan Sundaram erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Composition) für GBP 9.180,00 (€ 10.637,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Vivan Sundaram mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Passage beobachtet, die im März 2006 für USD 51.000,00 (€ 42.013,35) versteigert wurde.
