The work The Pit I and II; The Midget I and II by Vivan Sundaram was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in June 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,650.85), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vivan Sundaram have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Passage in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 51,000.00 (€ 42,013.35).

Die Arbeit The Pit I and II; The Midget I and II von Vivan Sundaram wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.650,85) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vivan Sundaram auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Passage im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.000,00 (€ 42.013,35).
