The work Untitled (from the Re-take of Amrita Series) by Vivan Sundaram was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. It achieved a price of USD 34,020.00 (€ 34,774.61), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Vivan Sundaram; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Passage sold at auction in March 2006 with the realized price of USD 51,000.00 (€ 42,013.35).

Die Arbeit Untitled (from the Re-take of Amrita Series) von Vivan Sundaram kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 34.020,00 (€ 34.774,61) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Vivan Sundaram; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Passage im März 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 51.000,00 (€ 42.013,35).
