The work K2 by Vittorio Sella was sold in the Exploration and Travel auction at Christies in London in September 2007. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,150.89), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Vittorio Sella; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Shkhara ridge, Georgia, c. 1890 sold at auction in December 2012 with the realized price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,791.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit K2 von Vittorio Sella wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Exploration and Travel bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.150,89) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Vittorio Sella; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Shkhara ridge, Georgia, c. 1890 im Dezember 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.791,90).
