This artwork by Vincenzo Gemito achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in December last year. In the 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures auction, the work Autoritratto sold for EUR 2,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincenzo Gemito achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait en buste du chanteur lyrique Jean-Baptiste Faure in March this year with an auction result of EUR 41,984.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vincenzo Gemito erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures wurde die Arbeit Autoritratto für EUR 2.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincenzo Gemito erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait en buste du chanteur lyrique Jean-Baptiste Faure im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 41.984,00.
