Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Il Ponte held the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo, which included the work Ricordo a Pia by Vincenzo Gemito. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 700.00 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincenzo Gemito achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait en buste du chanteur lyrique Jean-Baptiste Faure in March this year with an auction result of EUR 41,984.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ricordo a Pia von Vincenzo Gemito zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 700,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincenzo Gemito erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait en buste du chanteur lyrique Jean-Baptiste Faure im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 41.984,00.
