In June 2021 Christies in London held the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale, which included the work Aardappelrooier by Vincent van Gogh. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 862,500.00 (€ 1,005,036.72), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincent van Gogh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verger avec cyprès in November last year with an auction result of USD 117,180,000.00 (€ 113,513,513.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aardappelrooier von Vincent van Gogh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 862.500,00 (€ 1.005.036,72) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincent van Gogh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verger avec cyprès im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 117.180.000,00 (€ 113.513.513,51).
