Auction result well in line with expectations
The work And On The Way Home by Vincent Balfour Browne was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,572.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Vincent Balfour Browne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'That'S Torn It' in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,143.50).
