Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 122,500.00 (€ 88,009.20). Admittedly, works by Victor William Higgins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Going Home in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 773,000.00 (€ 731,868.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Summer Day, Taos Pueblo (The Sentinel) von Victor William Higgins wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 122.500,00 (€ 88.009,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor William Higgins auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Going Home im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 773.000,00 (€ 731.868,96).
