Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Resting By The Shore by Vasilii Kotarbinsky for GBP 144,500.00 (€ 202,337.38). This price was achieved in the auction Russian Art and Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Vasilii Kotarbinsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roman Orgy in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 1,016,624.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Resting By The Shore von Vasilii Kotarbinsky für GBP 144.500,00 (€ 202.337,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Russian Art and Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasilii Kotarbinsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roman Orgy im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 1.016.624,27).
