Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A lady on a marble bench in Ancient Rome by Vasilii Kotarbinsky was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 38,068.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasilii Kotarbinsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roman Orgy in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 1,016,624.27).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 38.068,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasilii Kotarbinsky erzielen.
