Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Evening by Vasilii Kotarbinsky. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 160,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 181,250.00 (€ 229,106.08). Admittedly, works by Vasilii Kotarbinsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roman Orgy in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 1,016,624.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evening von Vasilii Kotarbinsky zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 160.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 181.250,00 (€ 229.106,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasilii Kotarbinsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roman Orgy im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 1.016.624,27).
