Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Medusa by Vasilii Kotarbinsky was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2012. The price achieved of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 90,236.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasilii Kotarbinsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roman Orgy in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 1,016,624.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Medusa von Vasilii Kotarbinsky wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 90.236,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasilii Kotarbinsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roman Orgy im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 1.016.624,27).
