Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Varda Caivano was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,644.01). Other works by Varda Caivano have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2015 by the work Two works: (i) Untitled, 2005 (ii) Untitled at USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,583.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Varda Caivano im März 2011 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.644,01) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Varda Caivano wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2015 die Arbeit Two works: (i) Untitled, 2005 (ii) Untitled mit USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.583,59).
