Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Performance (Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, 1998) by Vanessa Beecroft was sold in the ITALIA Theme Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,500.00 (€ 7,904.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vanessa Beecroft achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vb 48, Palazzo Ducale, Genoa in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 120,000.00 (€ 89,199.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Performance (Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, 1998) von Vanessa Beecroft wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion ITALIA Theme Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.500,00 (€ 7.904,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vanessa Beecroft erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vb 48, Palazzo Ducale, Genoa im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 120.000,00 (€ 89.199,44).
