Schaeffer auction, the work The First Awakening of Eve changed hands for GBP 35,850.00 (€ 53,355.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valentine Cameron Prinsep - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Venetian Gaming-House In The Sixteenth Century, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 111,650.00 (€ 160,607.92).
