In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Studies For 'The First Awakening of Eve' Recto And Verso (Illustrated); And Study For 'Echo' sold for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,593.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Valentine Cameron Prinsep achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Venetian Gaming-House In The Sixteenth Century in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 111,650.00 (€ 160,607.92).
