Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work St John The Evangelist Teaching The New Commandment 'That Ye Love One Another' by Valentine Cameron Prinsep was sold in the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction at Christies in London in June 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,117.04). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Valentine Cameron Prinsep achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Venetian Gaming-House In The Sixteenth Century in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 111,650.00 (€ 160,607.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit St John The Evangelist Teaching The New Commandment 'That Ye Love One Another' von Valentine Cameron Prinsep wurde im Juni 2005 in der Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.117,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Valentine Cameron Prinsep erzielen.
