Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Piston by Valentin Carron was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,941.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valentin Carron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Homme (The Man), which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 62,054.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Piston von Valentin Carron wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.941,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Valentin Carron mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Homme (The Man) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 62.054,58) versteigert wurde.
