This artwork by Utagawa Toyokuni II achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2006. In the JapaneseArt and Design Including Netsuke from the Estate of His Royal Highness The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, KG.,KT.,KP auction, the work Unknown sold for GBP 15,600.00 (€ 22,836.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Utagawa Toyokuni II; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ichikawa Danjuro in a pleasure quarter scene sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 25,549.57).

In der Auktion JapaneseArt and Design Including Netsuke from the Estate of His Royal Highness The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, KG.,KT.,KP wurde die Arbeit Unknown für GBP 15.600,00 (€ 22.836,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00.
