Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Utagawa Toyohiro could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART auction, the work Utagawa Toyohiro (d.1830) changed hands for USD 1,410.00 (€ 1,617.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Utagawa Toyohiro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Standing beauty in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,139.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Utagawa Toyohiro konnte im März 2002 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART wechselte die Arbeit Utagawa Toyohiro (d.1830) für USD 1.410,00 (€ 1.617,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Utagawa Toyohiro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Standing beauty im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.139,21).
