Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Unknown by Utagawa Toyohiro for GBP 480.00 (€ 712.82). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese Art and Design at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Toyohiro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing beauty in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,139.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Unknown von Utagawa Toyohiro für GBP 480,00 (€ 712,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Japanese Art and Design bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Toyohiro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing beauty im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.139,21).
