A top price for Utagawa Toyohiro - as previously expected
In March 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Standing beauty by Utagawa Toyohiro. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,139.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Standing beauty is the most expensive artwork by Utagawa Toyohiro that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing beauty von Utagawa Toyohiro zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.139,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Standing beauty das teuerste Kunstwerk von Utagawa Toyohiro, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
