Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Bonhams in New York held the auction Amor FatiPhotographs Online, which included the work Untitled (05.8) by Uta Barth. The price achieved of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,318.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Uta Barth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (02.4) in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,922.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2019 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Amor FatiPhotographs Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (05.8) von Uta Barth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.318,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Uta Barth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (02.4) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 38.400,00 (€ 29.922,86).
