Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction CONTEMPORARY LIVING – Photographs, Prints & Design, which included the work Fragments From Nowhere by Ulfert Wilke. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,125.00 (€ 1,020.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ulfert Wilke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ancient World in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,479.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion CONTEMPORARY LIVING – Photographs, Prints & Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fragments From Nowhere von Ulfert Wilke zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.125,00 (€ 1.020,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ulfert Wilke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ancient World im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.479,48).
