Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Nymphs Washing Clothes by U Lun Gywe for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 12,552.79). This price was achieved in the auction 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by U Lun Gywe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spectrum of Burmese Colour, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nymphs Washing Clothes von U Lun Gywe für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 12.552,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von U Lun Gywe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spectrum of Burmese Colour beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.693,98) versteigert wurde.
