Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Happy Sea Beach by U Lun Gywe was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 48,450.00 (€ 5,806.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 38,000.00 – 62,000.00. Admittedly, works by U Lun Gywe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spectrum of Burmese Colour in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Happy Sea Beach von U Lun Gywe wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 48.450,00 (€ 5.806,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 38.000,00 – 62.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von U Lun Gywe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spectrum of Burmese Colour im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.693,98).
